Biostimulation

Biostimulators are compounds that are injected into the deep layer of the skin called the dermis. Unlike dermal fillers which simply inject volume, biostimulators work by stimulating new tissue growth, helping the skin to naturally produce its own volume.

About Sculptra

Sculptra® is a type of dermal filler, which is a cosmetic procedure to smooth fine lines and deep wrinkles.

Sculptra is a gel-like substance made of poly-L-lactic acid.  Our skin specialist will inject this filler underneath your skin where you want a fuller or smoother appearance. Poly-L-lactic acid is a collagen stimulator that absorbs into your body a few days after treatment to encourage your cells to produce more collagen. Collagen is a protein in your skin — as well as in your connective tissues, bones and cartilage — that provides structure, support and strength.

  • Face lifting: Sculptra is most commonly injected in the face to restore volume, lift sagging cheeks, and reduce fine lines. Results show an immediate 20% improvement, with long-term lifting effects lasting up to two years.
  • Neck rejuvenation: Sculptra tightens loose skin around the neck, reducing wrinkles and sagging for a firmer appearance.
  • Hands: Sculptra can smooth out wrinkles and rejuvenate the hands, restoring lost volume.
  • Buttocks: It can also be used to add volume to the buttocks, correcting uneven contours and sagging skin.

Sculptra provides long-lasting results, with effects typically lasting for up to 25 months. It is important to follow our skin specalists’s advice on how many treatments are needed to achieve optimal results.

Unlike fillers, which provide immediate volume by filling in specific areas, Sculptra works by gradually stimulating collagen production over time. This provides a more natural, long-lasting lift and skin rejuvenation.

Sunekos FAQs

The acids are slowly released into the tissue of the skin, stimulating the natural growth of collagen and elastin which rejuvenate the skin from the inside out. With its impressive water retention qualities, the hyaluronic acid also hydrates and provides a plumping effect to the treated area.

The Sunekos treatment is ideal for clients who want to correct specific aging effects as well as rejuvenating the skin quality as a whole. The results are natural-looking and effective, making this a great alternative to other treatments like Botox and dermal fillers.

Sunekos provides lifting and tightening of the skin, increased volume, improved hydration and plumpness, less visible fine lines, improvement in deep wrinkles, better contour definition. It can also help to reduce the visibility of sun damage.

Sunekos treatments are often delivered in a program of four treatments, 7-10 days apart. You will start to notice the benefits after each treatment, with the results becoming more visible as your progress. This is because the skin learns to react more effectively to each treatment giving you better and more visible results.

Sunekos is a minimally invasive treatment and requires little to no downtime. In fact, you can carry on with your daily activities straight after your treatment. You may experience some mild bruising or swelling at the injection site but this should calm down after 24 hours.
